Rare Entity is excited to announce the appointment of internationally acclaimed composer, producer, performer and sonic storyteller Rachel Claudio to its growing creative collective.
Working internationally across music, film, television, theatre and live performance, Rachel brings a unique ability to translate emotion into sound, crafting immersive musical worlds that deepen storytelling and create lasting audience connection.
As a composer and creative collaborator, Rachel’s work spans major label productions, film and television scores, luxury brand experiences and award-winning theatre productions. Her viral TEDx talk, How to Translate the Feeling into Sound, has reached more than 2.7 million viewers worldwide, while her pioneering live performance practice has earned international recognition for its innovative use of music technology and real-time composition.
In her solo performances, Rachel creates and orchestrates complex layered compositions live, blending technical precision with emotional intuition. This balance between technology and humanity sits at the core of her creative philosophy - and makes her a natural fit for Rare Entity’s multidisciplinary approach to storytelling.
Her recent work includes composing the soundtrack for Night Night, which premiered at Perth Festival 2025 and is currently touring nationally. She is also co-creating GLIMMERFIELD with visual artist Tee Ken Ng, a major immersive exhibition where sound and light respond to the people experiencing it, creating an environment that reflects the presence of those within it. Her broader portfolio includes string arrangements for Wong Kar Wai’s See You Tomorrow, composition credits on the Swedish-French thriller series Midnight Sun, and collaborations with leading international producers and composers including soFly and Antonio Gambale.
For Rare Entity Founder and Creative Director Dave Stewart, the addition of Rachel Claudio represents an exciting expansion of the group's creative capabilities.
“Rachel has an extraordinary gift for translating emotion into sound. Her work doesn’t just accompany a story - it becomes part of the story itself. We’re constantly looking for creatives who can bring new dimensions to the experiences we create, and Rachel’s ability to craft immersive sonic worlds opens up exciting possibilities for our clients and collaborators.”
Rare Entity Co-Founder Dom Joseph believes Rachel’s appointment further strengthens the group's commitment to bringing together world-class creative talent across disciplines.
“The most powerful ideas happen when different creative worlds collide. Rachel’s experience across music, performance, film and technology gives her a unique perspective that aligns perfectly with how we approach storytelling at Rare.”
For Rachel, joining Rare Entity is an opportunity to collaborate with a collective that shares her belief in emotionally driven creative work.
“I’ve always been interested in the spaces where emotion, technology and storytelling intersect. Whether I’m composing for screen, performing live, or developing immersive works like GLIMMERFIELD, I’m interested in creating experiences that help people connect more deeply with themselves, each other, and the stories around them. Rare brings together people who are deeply committed to meaningful creative work, and that’s something I immediately connected with. I’m excited to explore new creative possibilities together.”
As Rare Entity continues to expand its creative network, Rachel’s appointment marks another step in building a collective of exceptional talent capable of delivering impactful, culturally relevant and emotionally engaging work across every medium.
Welcome to Rare, Rachel.
